Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How much are the courses?
A. Each course is $19.95 with the exception of the Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED course. That one is $24.95. While that course contains both First Aid and CPR, it does not offer adult care. I you need adult certification, you must take the CPR/AED and First Aid courses separately, NOT the Pediatric course because it only covers ages infant through adolescence (approx.. 14 years of age).

Q. Do you follow the latest guidelines?
A. Yes, our courses have been updated to the 2010 guidelines. Those are the latest!

Q. What is the best way to contact you if I have a question or need technical support?
A. Send an email to info@icpri.com. That is always faster than calling. If you leave a voicemail, there may be a delay in responding but emails are answered within minutes.

Q. Is the certificate and wallet card both included in the cost of the course?
A. Yes, a full color certificate, suitable for framing, and a signed, computer generated wallet card will be available for printing after you pass the short quiz. YOU'LL HAVE THEM IMMEDIATELY! A hand-written wallet card will be shipped, signed by one of our instructors, within 24 hours.

Q. How many times can I take the test? Is there and extra charge if I need to re-take it?
A. You can take the quiz over until you pass without having to make any additional payment. Our courses are well written and you can review the material indefinitely before taking the test. But, in the unlikely instance where you do not pass the test on the first try, we recommend that you review the material that you do not understand before retaking the test. If you need help, one of our instructors will be happy to review the material with you.

Q. Can I stop in the middle and start again later?
A. Yes, if you cannot finish the class, you can go back to it any time! The course is left open for you and your account will remain active so you can go back and review EVEN AFTER COMPLETING THE COURSE AND RECEIVING YOUR CERTIFICATE AND WALLET CARD! You can go back and get updates for the full two years of your certification. We encourage it!

Q. Are your classes nationally accredited?
A. Yes, our classes follow the ECC 2010 guidelines as the American Heart, National Safety Council and Red Cross. The only exception is that we offer a video demonstration of the CPR Process instead of the hands-on portion of the class. Our curriculum has been developed to meet or exceed the requirements throughout the United States. Our training programs and certification classes are accepted nationally.

Q. I purchase the online class. Is there anything else I need to purchase?
A. Absolutely not, even the first class mailing of your wallet card is included. When you purchase the course, you receive the full class, printable full-color certificate, and wallet card. The certificate will available immediately and the wallet card will be filled out, signed by an instructor and mailed USPS, first class to you within 24 hours.

Q. How do I know that if your classes are the correct ones for me?
A. There are very specific course descriptions for each class. Just enroll by filling out the form with your personal information, including your current mailing address. Make sure you are entering your correct mailing address!!! Once you do, you will be asked a few questions and your response will determine which is the correct course. It's very simple!

Q. Will I be "certified" in your courses?
A. Yes, you will receive a certification card, signed by an instructor upon successful completion of the course and passing of the exam. We offer official certification cards in each of our courses, NOT JUST PAPER PRINTOUTS! That's very important because it's the wallet cards that actually are your proof of certification.

Q. Do you offer a "Healthcare Provider" CPR/AED course?
A. Our Healthcare Provider BLS course is the equivalent of the American Heart Association's "Healthcare Provider" class or the American Red Cross' "CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer" class. We offer a video demonstration instead of the hands-on portion with the mannequin.

Q. How can I become an instructor?
A. Through a local training center www.americanheart.org, www.redcross.org or www.nsc.org. If you are currently an instructor for another accredited agency, you may qualify for reciprocity. We are always seeking good, qualified instructors to handle our onsite training throughout the country. Contact us!
