Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much are the courses?
A. Each course is $19.95 with the exception of the Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED course. That one is
$24.95. While that course contains both First Aid and CPR, it does not offer adult care. If you need adult
certification, you must take the CPR/AED and First Aid courses separately, NOT the Pediatric course
because it only covers ages infant through adolescence (approx.. 14 years of age).
Q. How long do your courses take to complete?
A. Each course will take approximately 60-90 minutes. Since the guidelines have changed since you may
have taken the course last, it's important that you review the course material carefully before taking the
quiz. There's no sense guessing at the answers because it will take more time to take the quiz multiple
times than to just review the material thoroughly and take the quiz once.
No course is timed so you have ample time to review the new guidelines before taking the quiz and you
don't have to complete the course at one time. Your account will remain active and you can simply log
in when you have time and complete the course or simply review the material anytime during your
certification period. We update the course every time AHA publishes an update so the courses always
contain the latest information available. Each of the certifications are valid for two years with the
exception of the Bloodborne Pathogens which is a valid for one year.
Q. Do you follow the latest guidelines?
A. Yes, our courses have been updated to the 2010 guidelines. Those are the latest! Any update that has
been issued by the American Heart Association has been updated in our course.
Q. What is the best way to contact you if I have a question or need technical support?
A. Send an email to info@icpri.com. That is always faster than calling. If you leave a voicemail, there may
be a delay in responding but emails are answered within minutes.
Q. Is the certificate and wallet card both included in the cost of the course?
A. Yes, a full color certificate, suitable for framing, and a signed, computer generated wallet card will be
available for printing, saving or emailing after you pass the short quiz. YOU'LL HAVE THEM
IMMEDIATELY! A hand-written wallet card will be shipped, signed by one of our instructors, within 24
hours, by 1st class mail from the post office.
Q. How many times can I take the test? Is there and extra charge if I need to re-take it?
A. You can take the quiz over until you pass without having to make any additional payment. Our
courses are well written and you can review the material indefinitely before taking the test. But, in the
unlikely instance where you do not pass the test on the first try, we recommend that you review the
material that you do not understand before retaking the test. If you need help, one of our instructors
will be happy to review the material with you. Your course remains open for the full length of your
certification so you can stop back and review or get the latest updates.
Q. Can I stop in the middle and start again later?
A. Yes, if you cannot finish the class, you can go back to it any time! The course is left open for you and
your account will remain active so you can go back and review EVEN AFTER COMPLETING THE COURSE
AND RECEIVING YOUR CERTIFICATE AND WALLET CARD! You can go back and get updates for the full
two years of your certification. We encourage it!
Q. Are your classes nationally accredited?
A. Yes, our classes follow the ECC 2010 guidelines as the American Heart, National Safety Council and
Red Cross. The only exception is that we offer a video demonstration of the CPR Process instead of the
hands-on portion of the class. Our curriculum has been developed to meet or exceed the requirements
throughout the United States. Our training programs and certification classes are accepted nationally.
Q. I purchase the online class. Is there anything else I need to purchase?
A. Absolutely not, even the first class mailing of your wallet card is included. When you purchase the
course, you receive the full class, printable full-color certificate, and wallet card. The certificate will
available immediately and the wallet card will be filled out, signed by an instructor and mailed USPS,
first class to you within 24 hours.
Q. How do I know that if your classes are the correct ones for me?
A. There are very specific course descriptions for each class. Just enroll by filling out the form with your
personal information, including your current mailing address. Make sure you are entering your correct
mailing address!!! Once you do, you will be asked a few questions and your response will determine
which course is the correct one for you. Just follow the prompts once you choose the course you
require. It's very simple!
Q. Will I be "certified" in your courses?
A. Yes, you will receive a certification card, signed by an instructor upon successful completion of the
course and passing of the exam. We offer official certification cards in each of our courses, NOT JUST
PAPER PRINTOUTS! That's very important because it's the wallet cards that actually are your proof of
certification.
Q. Do you offer a "Healthcare Provider" CPR/AED course?
A. Yes we do. We offer 3 CPR/AED courses. The CPR/AED Renewal, NEW CPR/AED Certifications and
Healthcare Provider, BLS courses. We offer a video demonstration instead of the hands-on portion with
the mannequin.
Q. I'’m interested in your corporate rate program. Can you give me some information?
A. The group rate for 5 or more courses is $17.00 per course/per person and $22.00 for the Pediatric
First Aid Course and we can do the registration of all employees. If we're doing the registration, simply
send me a list of employees ready to do the course immediately, the course they would like to take and
the full address for your facility and we will handle the registration from here. You will receive an email
with usernames and passwords already assigned. Payment is made by one time credit card charge once
we get everyone registered. They can each take the course separately since this course is done 100%
online.
We handle a LOT of corporate and school accounts because of the cost and time savings in taking the
online course. The easiest way to do this is to send me a list of people that require certification and
an address for your facility and I will register everyone here. You will receive a return email with each
person's login information and they can take the course from any computer 24 x 7 x 365. Once they
finish the course and complete the exam, they'll be able to print out the 8 1/2 x 11 full color certificate
immediately and the signed wallet card will go in the mail within 24 hours. You can either pay by one-
time credit card charge by phone or we can invoice your company. The other payment option is for
you to enroll yourselves and enter the PROMO code CPR555 each time you make payment and you'll be
charged $17.00 instead of $19.95.
The course itself will take approximately 1 hour to complete. You may get through it in less time if it's a
recertification but the course material remains open for the full two years of your certification so that
you can go back and get updates and review anytime you like. None of the courses are timed so you can
enter and exit as you like and the certification is valid for two years from the time you pass the quiz and
print (or save) your certificate.
The certification is through the International CPR Institute. When we give a live course, we can use the
AHA, Red Cross or National Safety Council cards but we can't use them for our online courses because
we offer a video demonstration instead of the hands-on practical with the mannequin.
